Change of plans
[info]bellamount

Alright, apparently I'm too busy/distracted for my own good and you guys will have to wait a while till my next post. See, next week I am really busy on writing days, then that weekend, Im going camping. And not just normal camping, rustic camping. So around the 30th, I will be back with all new postings!

Edit: Okay I'm back from camping but I'm still having writer's block. I will try to get chapters up as soon as possible so please hold on. I feel like I'm trapped in NaNoWriMo with no inspiration but I promise they will be done!

Yours truly,
The mysterious Author

Year Two, Chapter Fifteen: An Erlking of Trouble
[info]bellamount

The fallout from the latest drama feels like a void. Regina barely looks at, much less talks with Genevieve these last few days. What is worse is that there is a slight icy feeling when her Beauxbatons and Hogwarts friends are together. It fades a little over time and with some laughter, but it is still there, like a mosquito you can just barely hear in the middle of the night. Genevieve tries to push this out of her mind and focus on her schoolwork and on talking with her friends about the second task, but the tension is too hard to ignore. No matter how hard she tries, it won’t go away by just ignoring it; she had to find a better solution to this.

Of course she sends her mother an owl with an update, but the response again is less than satisfactory. Nothing like a mother being supportive rather than informative and telling you to “just do what you think is right”. Genevieve would ask Slughorn for advice, but she doesn’t want to bother him about such trivial issues as fights over whether she should transfer or not. It doesn’t seem like the thing to bother a professor with, especially during the tournament.

Year Two, Chapter Fourteen: Sneaking Suspicions
[info]bellamount

The next few weeks Genevieve cannot help but feel distracted as she goes through the motions of going to class, hanging out with her friends and going to the common room every night. There is a DA meeting to change up things, but a looming feeling of dread has been bothering her the last few days and she just cannot shake it. She receives a response from her mother a week after she sends the letter, but while it reassures Genevieve that it doesn’t matter what choice she made, it does not help her make a choice at all. Genevieve always hates when her parents leave things open-ended like this; when you ask someone’s opinion, you expect an answer, not a vague “do whatever you feel is right”.

Year Two, Chapter Thirteen: Mysteries and Memories
[info]bellamount

After the party, it seems like the whole world becomes focused on the Second task again. It is as if the Ball is a preshow and now they are onto the main event. Every minute they are not doing school work, Melissa is pouring over details of what that poem said with Pierre, who is equally interested in what its hidden meaning is. By the time Melissa’s birthday comes around, she has figured out some things but not much.

“’Shadows of the Dryads’ means ‘forest’,” Melissa repeats at breakfast for the umpteenth time, “That’s obvious. What creatures do we know could be dangerous to children?”

Year Two, Chapter Twelve: Boys and Broomsticks
[info]bellamount

It isn’t long before they all are out on the Quidditch field, Regina holding her broom tightly in her hand as she beams at all of them.

“My broom, my ride first,” Regina announces as she quickly mounts the Firebolt. A swift surge of wind blows past them as she quickly takes off around the pitch, nearly catching Lucy off balance.

“For an old model, she can fly,” Jeremy remarks as he watches Regina soar around the field.

Really really hate to do this...
[info]bellamount
But chapter twelve is taking a lot longer to write due to convention stuff and stress in general. I would make an all nighter and finish it but I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow so I can't. Really wish I could, but I can't. That and my editor is busy because tomorrow is her birthday and she is leaving for a weekend at a casino. Happy 21st birthday! ^^

I am deeply sorry, I did not intend to turn this fanfic into VG cats, but let's face it, writing is hard at times, and I am not always creative on the fly.

will try harder,
Author

Year Two, Chapter Eleven: Christmas Plans
[info]bellamount

The next day, Genevieve gets out of bed to find a note with her name in light green letters on top of her trunk. She looks at it quickly, tapping the side of the bunk bed to get Regina’s attention as she struggles to get her socks on.

“Regina?” Genevieve asks as Regina looks over at her, pushing back her blonde hair from her face, “Who is this from?”

“Oh, you got one too,” Lucy says as she bunches up her hair, attempting to make one of her pigtails while holding the rubber band in her mouth, “It’s a party for all the Hogwarts girls who couldn’t make it to the Yule Ball due to age or just didn’t want to go.”

Exams and other obessions!
[info]bellamount
Forgive me, but thanks to amazing things going on in my other loves (ie video games) and my finals being right now, you wont have a regularly scheduled story till next week. I am sorry for the inconvience, but that is life.

Edit: Once again, finals and the sudden urge of freedom (and writer's block) made me forget about fanfic. Good news is that within this week I should have enough freetime to spit out two chapters. Sorry for being a horrible person! >.>

Edit edit: EDITOR NEEDS SLEEP! LET HER SLEEP! Both episodes will be up tomorrow evening. ^^ Btw, if anyone here is from Michigan, I will be at the Expeditious 2010 Convention this weekend. I will be the girl with the brown hair wearing the Slytherin stuff and looking horribly nervous as this is my first convention ever. Wish me luck!

Year Two, Chapter Ten: Crushes and Ego Crushing
[info]bellamount

It takes Regina and Lucy a little while to get out of the Hospital room; they didn’t do too much damage to each other considering the fact they are extremely talented duelers for such a young age. Genevieve is just glad they went easy on each other; things could have gotten a lot worse. The funniest thing that happens out of all of this is the looks on the other Slytherins’ faces when they see everything back to normal between the group of second years. Apparently the duel had looked fierce enough that everyone was sure that Regina and Lucy were ready to kill each other. If there is one thing Genevieve learns about dealing with students her age: never assume anything when it comes to relations between people. Besides, Noël is coming soon, and Genevieve is very happy that everyone is getting along for an interesting Noël in France.

Year Two, Chapter Nine: Jealous Rage
[info]bellamount

It is Regina, sitting in one of the green chairs, obviously waiting for someone who was definitely not either of them. She raises a blonde eyebrow, staring at them rather suspiciously from behind her potions textbook.

“Want something?” Regina asks coldly as she stands up.

“No,” Genevieve replies awkwardly, “We just came back from the First Task. We thought that we would find Jonathan and Richard here.”
